We are dedicated to sustainability

We continually work on reducing our carbon footprint in order to leave a cleaner world for generations to come.  We are permanently committed to reducing waste with a more efficient production process while continuously raising awareness with our employees about the importance of the green cycle.

We comply with all air, water and power regulations in the community we operate in and have proudly maintained ISO 14001 Certification for Environmental Management for years now.  In cooperation with local partners we fully recycle the majority of waste materials which emerge from our business processes including copper, aluminum, PVC, paper products and nylon.

Our energy sources are also emerge from renewable sources – hydropower, and we plan to build a solar power plant for own-use in the near future.

Our ongoing strive towards digitalization of business processes will also significantly impact our path to a low-carbon future.

Wind Energy

Energy production from renewable sources worldwide is extremely important due to climate change. The use of wind power contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide in energy production, and at the same time preserves natural resources and the gradual achievement of a carbon-neutral future.

Wind farms are often located in areas with very demanding weather conditions. Therefore, the cable materials must be particularly durable. Wind power plant equipment and components must withstand large temperature changes, humidity and UV radiation.

This sets high standards for the quality and properties of cables used in wind farms.

TT Cables offers a wide array of cables suitable for wind energy transmission projects, which are designed specifically for demanding weather conditions. Our products are made of durable high-quality materials, have a long service life and satisfy all standards set by investors.

Solar Power

Without a doubt, the production of electricity from renewable energy sources worldwide is extremely important due to climate change.  The Earth’s surface absorbs more solar energy in less than two hours than the entire population of the planet consumes in a year. Therefore, the use of solar energy contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide in energy production, and at the same time preserves natural resources.

The construction of solar power plants is becoming a key element in the process of renewable energy production.

Cables used in solar power plants are exposed to high temperature changes and UV radiation. Therefore, the cable materials must be particularly durable.

TT Cable’s product array includes suitable halogen-free, medium voltage and power cables for solar power plants. We use the best raw materials and high-quality products that are very important for longevity, safety and operational reliability.

Carbon Footprint

The development of the road to carbon neutrality is one of the many sustainable initiatives we have been working on recently. Lately we have completed the calculation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in 2021 (base year) and created a strategy and action plan for their reduction. In the process of calculation, two internationally accepted methods were used for calculating the Carbon Footprint of business entities using the GHG protocol & according to ISO 14064. The GHG protocol for business entities defines three scopes, while the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard defines six categories of greenhouse gas emissions/removals.

Total emissions of Greenhouse Gases TT Cables d.o.o. in 2021 for the calculation limits of Scope 1 and Scope 2 has been verified.  Mobile energy sources (83.76%) and fugitive sources (16.24%) had the greatest contribution to Greenhouse Gas emissions.

We have set relative emission reduction targets of 5% per ton of product/per employee by 2027 (ie for a medium-term, 5-year period) compared to the base year of 2021 and achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050 (long-term target)

EcoVadis – bronze medal for sustainability performance

We at TT Cables always strive to implement sustainable standards in all aspects of our business. In order to continually improve our performance while demonstrating positive outcomes to our clients and partners, we have engaged EcoVadis to assess our Company for the first time and we are thrilled to announce that we obtained a 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has grown to become the world’s largest and most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings, covering the following themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, creating a Global network of more than 125,000+ rated companies.

We are proud to be at the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟯𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 evaluated by EcoVadis over the past 12 months, as well as among the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟲% 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 (Manufacture of wiring and wiring devices).

This medal is the result of various initiatives our Company has undertaken and are currently developping – including decarbonization, the use of green electricity, the production of cables for renewable energy sources, implementing principles of green chemicals in our production process, collaboration with carefully selected sustainable suppliers and many others. All of these initiatives have been accomplished while placing a great emphasis on our employees’ safety and satisfaction.

We at TT Cables always attempt to exceed expectations which is why we are releasing our second annual voluntary ESG Report.  This Report, which we drafted among the first in our country, covers our business in detail and shows transparency and responsibility to our customers, partners, and employees.
