We are dedicated to sustainability

We continually work on reducing our carbon footprint in order to leave a cleaner world for generations to come.  We are permanently committed to reducing waste with a more efficient production process while continuously raising awareness with our employees about the importance of the green cycle.

We comply with all air, water and power regulations in the community we operate in and have proudly maintained ISO 14001 Certification for Environmental Management for years now.  In cooperation with local partners we fully recycle the majority of waste materials which emerge from our business processes including copper, aluminum, PVC, paper products and nylon.

Our energy sources are also emerge from renewable sources – hydropower, and we plan to build a solar power plant for own-use in the near future.

Our ongoing strive towards digitalization of business processes will also significantly impact our path to a low-carbon future.

Wind Energy

Energy production from renewable sources worldwide is extremely important due to climate change. The use of wind power contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide in energy production, and at the same time preserves natural resources and the gradual achievement of a carbon-neutral future.

Wind farms are often located in areas with very demanding weather conditions. Therefore, the cable materials must be particularly durable. Wind power plant equipment and components must withstand large temperature changes, humidity and UV radiation.

This sets high standards for the quality and properties of cables used in wind farms.

TT Cables offers a wide array of cables suitable for wind energy transmission projects, which are designed specifically for demanding weather conditions. Our products are made of durable high-quality materials, have a long service life and satisfy all standards set by investors.

Solar Power

Without a doubt, the production of electricity from renewable energy sources worldwide is extremely important due to climate change.  The Earth’s surface absorbs more solar energy in less than two hours than the entire population of the planet consumes in a year. Therefore, the use of solar energy contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide in energy production, and at the same time preserves natural resources.

The construction of solar power plants is becoming a key element in the process of renewable energy production.

Cables used in solar power plants are exposed to high temperature changes and UV radiation. Therefore, the cable materials must be particularly durable.

TT Cable’s product array includes suitable halogen-free, medium voltage and power cables for solar power plants. We use the best raw materials and high-quality products that are very important for longevity, safety and operational reliability.

Carbon Footprint

The path to Carbon Neutrality is one of the many Sustainability initiatives we are continuously working on. Our first Greenhouse Gas Emissions calculation was done in 2021 (our base year), during which we developed a Strategy and Action Plans for their reduction. In the calculation process, we used internationally recognized methods for business entities, employing the GHG Protocol. The GHG Protocol for businesses defines three Scopes as standard reporting Scopes.

After analyzing the base year, we set goals for a relative reduction in emissions of 5% per ton of product/per employee by 2027 (i.e., for the medium-term, a five-year period) compared to the base year of 2021. Our long-term goal is to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050. We conduct measurements annually to monitor progress.

TT Cables has joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard

The SBTi – Net-Zero Standard is a corporate climate action organization that offers businesses a well-defined path to 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, in accordance with the Paris Agreement targets (limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels).

The climate crisis is one of the biggest challenges humanity faces and as a regional leader in our industry, we at TT Cables believe we have a significant obligation to take action. The SBTi Net-Zero Standard initiative represents the highest standard for corporate climate goals and we are very proud to join. We are committed to doing our part in achieving these goals and also want to encourage other companies to do the same.

EcoVadis – Leveling up in sustainability : Silver Medal

After earning our first EcoVadis Bronze Medal in 2024, we’ve moved up to Silver in 2025, ranking among the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 worldwide for sustainability performance. In 2024 we expressed that these are the pillars on which we continue to grow, achieving the goals we have set in both the short and long term.

In 2025, we reaffirm that statement, and with our two factories (Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia) and a third one under construction (Croatia), this recognition confirms we’re on the right path.

ESG REPORT

With the release of our third Sustainability Report in 2025, we’re proud to show that ESG is not something we do on the side. It’s how we innovate, operate, choose our partners, and grow together with them.
